Reminiscent of past days in Carrizalito
The last time I was at CARRIZALITO it was for the opening and a grand day it was! This was another … the whole community turned up for fun and games! We learned about germs and washing hands, did crafts, and the crowning glory was giving out a treat bag to each child. Karen wasn’t able to come for the opening two years ago and today she got a feel of the excitement and pride of the people in this school that she helped fund through A Better World and that the community built brick by brick.
Karen, Scott and I are trying to communicate using Spanglish
We started the event with each child printing their names on the porch of the school
Next on the the agenda was the presentation about germs … Where are they? Can you see them? How do we kill them?
One of the ways we kill them is by washing our hands
Like children everywhere, I think their favorite part was receiving a treat bag with some toys and a bag of trail mix inside
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, ADIOS CARRIZALITO.
